TEXTILE ARTIST AND DESIGNER
Pattern is the foundation of my creative work. Whether I’m designing a textile print, crafting a set of ceramic tiles, or sewing a patchwork quilt, I am always combining repeating units to build a larger image. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. My quilts, curtains, and artworks are handmade using meditative processes and mindful improvisation, favoring idiosyncratic anomalies over perfectionism. My quilts have been exhibited internationally and have achieved recognition through publications and awards. I teach art, sewing, and quilting workshops emphasizing community connectedness, sustainability, and intuitive creativity. I plan to direct my future work toward art therapy and helping others access creative play and self-expression. |
