Kari's Quilt
This quilt was a gift for a dear friend's first born. Hot on the heels of "A" for Alice and Dad's kaleidoscope, I wanted to try something easy. Or at least less complicated. I stuck with the vintage feel and the straight grid from Alice, and sprinkled in a few "liberated stars" from Gwen Marston's book, "Liberated Quiltmaking II." This was my first try at a free-form star motif. I love how the negative shape formed between the star points looks like a little house! |
